BREAKING: Ex-President Shehu Shagari dies at 93  Shagari passed away at the National Hospital Abuja on Friday. He was 93 years old.  The news was broken by the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, on his Twitter handle. I regret to Announce the death of former President Shehu Shagari who just passed away at National Hospital Abuja. May his Soul Rest in Peace. pic.twitter.com/D9GR8vpkbT BRIEF HISTORY Shehu Usman Shagari was born in 1925 in Shagari village founded by his great-grandfather, Ahmadu Rufa'i, who was also the Village Head, and took the name Shagari as his family name. His father's name was Aliyu and his mother's name was Mariamu. ANOTHER TRAGIC WEDNESDAY IN LAGOS

Looking back to December 26th , 2006 at Awori bus stop , Abule egba , Lagos state, there was a fire outbreak that claimed the lives of over 100 people and properties worth millions of naira lost. at exactly 3:20 am today December 19th 2018, lives and properties lost again. This time, maybe in double folds.  It was gathered that the explosion was as a result of pipeline VANDALISM. T he explosion started from Awori Bus Stop and extended to Abule Egba Bus Stop and Abattoir . An eyewitness said the outbreak arose from the vandals scooping fuel from a vandalised pipeline adding that the incidence was a reoccurrence of what happened in 2006. It was gathered that residents were scooping fuel from the spillage and in the process there was a spark which resulted in an inferno, consuming everything along its’ path. Breaking: Nigerian Former Chief of Defense Staff Alex Badeh Shot Dead

A former Chief of  Defense  Staff, Air Chief Marshal  Alex Badeh, has been killed as he made his way back to Abuja this evening. Mr Badeh, a retired air chief marshal, was shot dead along the Abuja-Keffi road. The air force confirmed the death in a couple of tweets on its official Twitter handle. “It is with a heavy heart that I regretfully announce the unfortunate demise of former Chief of Defence Staff, Air  Chief Marshal Alex Badeh , who died today, 18 Dec 18, from gunshot wounds sustained when his vehicle was attacked while returning from his farm along Abuja-Keffi Road. “On behalf officers, airmen and airwomen of the Nigerian Air Force, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Abubakar, commiserates with the family of the late former Chief of Defence Staff over this irreparable loss.
